Apple’s creative tools, now available under one subscription

Apple Creator Studio bundles Apple’s key pro apps—Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro on Mac and iPad, with Motion, Compressor, and MainStage on Mac—previously sold separately. Apple says the move simplifies access for multi-discipline creators, while one-time purchases for individual Mac apps remain available.

Final Cut Pro adds AI-powered editing features

Final Cut Pro on Mac and iPad adds new tools to speed up editing, including Transcript and Visual Search, Beat Detection for music syncing, and AI-powered Montage Maker on iPad with automatic vertical cropping. Motion and Compressor are included in full, offering advanced masking, effects, and export controls.

Pixelmator Pro on iPad

For the first time, Pixelmator Pro is being introduced on the iPad as a component of Creator Studio. The application boasts a touch-centric interface, complete Apple Pencil compatibility, and effortless project synchronization between Mac and iPad. New features include sophisticated masking, image enhancement, automatic composition capabilities, and a Warp tool for altering layers. According to Apple, the app is optimized for Apple silicon to ensure high performance on compatible devices.

Logic Pro adds new AI-powered tools for music creation

Logic Pro on Mac and iPad adds new smart features, including Synth Player for automated electronic and bass parts and Chord ID for turning audio or MIDI into editable chord progressions. The Sound Library expands with new royalty-free loops, while iPad gains Quick Swipe Comping and natural language sound search. MainStage is also included for live performances on Mac.

Productivity apps gain premium content

Keynote, Pages, and Numbers will remain free, while Creator Studio subscribers get access to premium templates, curated assets, and new AI-powered tools such as image generation, layout clean-up, presentation drafting from text, and formula creation in Numbers. Apple says these apps will continue to receive regular updates for all users.
