BigBasket has announced plans to launch its much-anticipated 10-minute food delivery service across the country by the end of 2025. This bold expansion will bring ultra-fast grocery and food delivery to every corner of India, raising the bar for speed, technology, and customer experience in the fiercely competitive online grocery market.

BigBasket, already a household name in online grocery, is betting big on “quick commerce” the industry term for ultra-fast delivery of everyday essentials. After successful pilots in select metros, the company is now gearing up for a nationwide rollout, promising to deliver fresh produce, daily essentials, and ready-to-eat foods to customers’ doorsteps in just 10 minutes.

This ambitious plan will see BigBasket ramp up its network of micro-warehouses, invest in smart logistics, and leverage real-time inventory management to ensure that even last-minute orders are fulfilled at record speed.

BigBasket will establish hundreds of dark stores and micro-fulfillment centers strategically located in urban and semi-urban neighborhoods, stocked with high-demand items.Advanced algorithms will optimize delivery routes, predict order patterns, and allocate resources in real time, minimizing delays and maximizing efficiency.

The company plans to deploy a vast fleet of two-wheelers and electric vehicles, equipped with GPS tracking and temperature control for perishable goods. Customers will be able to browse, order, and pay through the BigBasket app, with live order tracking and instant notifications.

BigBasket’s nationwide rollout comes as rivals like Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart race to dominate the quick commerce space. However, BigBasket’s deep supply chain expertise, strong brand, and integration with Tata Digital give it a unique edge.

Industry analysts predict that the move will intensify competition, spark further innovation, and potentially trigger a wave of consolidation in the sector.

From fresh fruits to gourmet snacks, the 10-minute service will cover a broad range of products. Expect special deals and loyalty rewards for early adopters of the new delivery model. Real-time tracking, instant support, and seamless returns will make shopping smoother than ever.
