Hindi-speaking users can now breathe a sigh of relief as Google introduces a new feature to simplify their lives. The company is rolling out its advanced AI-powered search feature, 'AI Mode,' specifically for Hindi speakers around the globe.
This marks a major advancement in Google's efforts to integrate artificial intelligence into its core search service, enabling users to ask complex questions and obtain more comprehensive answers.
On Monday, Google revealed that AI Mode is expanding to include support for Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese. This update comes shortly after last month’s broader rollout of the AI-powered experience to 180 additional English-speaking markets, following its initial launch in the U.S. and subsequent expansion to the U.K. and India.
The newly introduced feature, which employs a tailored version of Google's Gemini 2.5 AI model, was first released in English in India. After receiving favorable responses, the company is now expanding its availability to a broader audience.
In a blog post, Google mentioned that AI Mode is crafted to manage complex queries that would usually necessitate several searches.
Google highlighted that this is especially useful for 'exploratory questions' and more intricate tasks like planning trips, seeking local suggestions, or comprehending detailed instructions. The new mode accommodates multimodal input, allowing users to pose questions through text, voice, or even by uploading an image.
Robby Stein, Vice President of Product at Google Search, mentioned in a tweet, "AI Mode is now rolling out in 5 new languages around the world: Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese. We saw incredible momentum bringing AI Mode to 180+ countries in English last month. With our custom version of Gemini 2.5 in Search, we're making advancements in language understanding to ensure that our AI search is culturally relevant and useful in each new language. Try AI Mode at and let us know what you think"
