According to a blog post by the tech giant on December 16, the newly introduced feature, named CC, will deliver a daily briefing called 'Your Day Ahead' to users' inboxes every morning. This AI-generated, personalized summary will include the user's schedule for the day and reminders for important tasks like paying bills or attending scheduled appointments.

Google’s CC AI Agent

Google’s new experimental AI agent, CC, is designed to help users streamline their day by handling a variety of tasks. Powered by Google’s Gemini family of AI models, CC can automatically generate email drafts, add events to your Google Calendar, and assist with a personalized daily summary.

Key Features of CC:

  • Email Drafts: CC can help create and send email drafts based on user preferences.

  • Google Calendar Integration: It automatically inserts events into your calendar to help users stay organized.

  • Custom Requests: Users can interact with CC by replying to its summaries or emailing it directly to make personalized requests, teach it about their preferences, and set reminders.

Personalization and Learning Capabilities:

  • Syncing with Google Services: CC integrates with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive, pulling data to learn more about users.

  • Customizable Memory: By replying to emails or briefs, users can teach CC more about themselves and set things for it to remember, making the AI more personalized over time.

Availability

CC is currently available through Google Labs, a platform where the company showcases its latest AI experiments. Initially, it is being rolled out in early access to paid subscribers aged 18 and above in the United States and Canada. Users who are interested in trying out CC can also apply to join a waitlist to gain access as the tool expands its availability.
