This suite of AI-driven features is designed to improve email comprehension, writing, and prioritization. A standout feature, AI Overviews, condenses scattered email details into clear, concise replies, helping users navigate long threads where critical info can often get buried.
Since Gmail's launch in 2004, the landscape of email communication has evolved considerably. Initially, Google's email platform utilized Artificial Intelligence to enable functionalities such as spam filtering and Smart Replies. We all deal with crowded inboxes, and some of the hurdles we encounter involve managing the sending and receiving of emails, understanding their content, prioritizing tasks, and responding swiftly to information.
Gmail’s AI Overviews now allows users to automatically summarize entire conversations, eliminating the need to read through every email.
Additionally, the feature lets users ask specific questions about their inbox using natural language. For example, users can inquire, "Who sent the quote?" or "What decision was made on [topic] last year?"

A new Proofread feature offers advanced grammar, style, and tone suggestions before sending. Help Me Write and Suggested Replies are free, but Proofread is available only to AI Pro and Ultra subscribers.
AI Inbox helps users focus on what matters by prioritizing important tasks, urgent alerts, and key notifications over less relevant messages. It generates a daily summary based on senders, deadlines, and reminders. Google assures privacy safeguards to protect user data.
