Motorola has started teasing the Edge 70 Pro in India, coming soon after the launch of the Edge 70 Fusion. While the mid-range smartphone is yet to get an official launch date, a dedicated Flipkart microsite has already gone live, confirming that the device will be sold via the popular e-commerce platform.
The Flipkart microsite does not explicitly mention the Edge 70 Pro by name, but it does offer a brief look at the phone and its colour variants. The device is expected to be available in Blue, Green, and White options. The microsite’s URL, ‘moto-coming-soon-apr26’, indicates that the upcoming phone may be unveiled on April 26.
Motorola has started teasing a new smartphone in India, highlighting strong low-light camera performance. Alongside the official teaser, a leaked poster has surfaced online, suggesting a premium design with a curved display and a triple rear camera setup. Several leaks also hint at major upgrades in battery, charging, and camera capabilities compared to its predecessor.
6.5-inch (expected) curved pOLED display
Triple rear camera setup with Sony Lytia primary sensor
“Super Zoom” camera feature support
50MP front camera with autofocus
6,500mAh battery (up from 6,000mAh on predecessor)
90W fast charging support
IP68 & IP69 water and dust resistance
MIL-STD-810H durability certification
Likely premium mid-range positioning
Other expected developments include the possible launch of a Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ model later this year, which has already been spotted on HDR10+ certification. Reports suggest that Motorola may follow its usual staggered launch strategy for the Edge 70 series, meaning the Pro+ variant could debut separately from the standard Edge 70 Pro.
The Edge 60 Pro was initially priced at ₹29,999 for the base model and went up to ₹33,999 for the top-end version. However, following the recent increase in smartphone prices caused by RAM memory shortages, the Edge 70 Pro is expected to launch at a higher starting price, likely falling somewhere between ₹30,000 and ₹35,000.
