The highly anticipated ultra-thin Motorola Edge 70 has officially launched in India on Monday, December 15. Powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip, the Edge 70 becomes the world’s first ultra-thin device to feature this platform. Alongside its cutting-edge hardware, the device integrates Moto AI 2.0, Google’s Gemini, and Perplexity, delivering a smarter and more fluid user experience.

Availability & Pricing

The Motorola Edge 70 is set to be offered with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at Rs. 29,999. It promises three years of operating system updates and four years of security patches, featuring the Hello UI built on Android 16.

Performance

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip and features a sophisticated vapour cooling chamber for efficient heat dissipation, ensuring smooth performance during intense tasks. It also supports broad 5G band compatibility for faster connectivity, while Dolby Atmos stereo speakers enhance the audio experience. Enhanced security features are provided by ThinkShield, ensuring data privacy and protection.

Design and Build

The Edge 70 is Motorola’s slimmest smartphone yet, weighing just 159g and measuring only 5.99mm in thickness. Made with aircraft-grade aluminum, the device feels remarkably light and premium in hand despite its robust construction.

Built to withstand the rigors of everyday life, the Edge 70 features IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, ensuring durability even in challenging environments.

Battery and Charging

Despite its sleek design, the Motorola Edge 70 packs a powerful 5000mAh silicon-carbon battery, delivering up to 40 hours of usage on a single charge. The device supports 68W TurboPower Rapid Charging for fast and efficient recharging, ensuring you can get back to using your phone in no time. Additionally, it offers 15W Wireless Charging for added convenience and Reverse Charging capabilities, allowing you to charge other devices while on the move.

During the launch promotion, customers can avail a Rs 1,000 bank discount, bringing the price down to Rs 28,999. Sales start on December 23, 2025, via Flipkart, Motorola’s website, and major retail outlets. The phone will be available in three Pantone-selected colors: Bronze Green, Lily Pad, and Gadget Grey, each featuring a premium, fabric-like texture.
