Indian commercial real estate market, the Trump Organisation has announced the development of its first international commercial project, the "Trump World Center," located in Pune, Maharashtra. This ambitious project marks a new chapter for the Trump brand in India, following its successful ventures in luxury residential real estate.
The Trump World Center will be situated on a 4.3-acre plot in Pune's upscale Koregaon Park Annexe, spanning over 1.6 million square feet. The development will feature two iconic glass towers, each with 27 floors of office space. The project involves an investment of approximately ₹1,700 crore and is projected to generate sales of about ₹2,500 crore. This substantial financial backing underscores the Trump Organisation's confidence in India's growing commercial landscape.
One tower will provide for-sale strata offices, while the other will focus on larger leasable office spaces, catering to a diverse range of business needs. The design aims to incorporate modern amenities and facilities that enhance the work environment. The project is being developed in collaboration with Tribeca Developers, Trump's licensed partner in India, alongside local real estate firm Kundan Spaces. Kalpesh Mehta, founder of Tribeca Developers, expressed excitement about the project, stating that it reflects their vision to elevate Pune's business landscape.
The Trump Organisation has been active in India for over a decade, having previously launched four luxury residential projects across major cities like Mumbai, Gurugram, Kolkata, and Pune. With this new venture into commercial real estate, India solidifies its position as the largest market for the Trump brand outside the United States. Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organisation, commented on the enthusiasm surrounding the brand in India: “India has embraced the Trump brand with remarkable enthusiasm. After our successful collaboration on several iconic residential projects, we are proud to launch our first commercial development in India.”
