Pune, 1st October 2026: The expansion of the strategic technology partnership between US-based Innovecture and payments technology company Nexio is expected to create new employment opportunities for skilled professionals in Pune.
The companies are expanding their operations through Innovecture's Global Engineering Centre (GEC) in the city, building on a partnership that began in 2024.
The Pune centre will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), software engineering, data, automation, application modernisation and quality engineering. It will function as an extension of Nexio's US technology team, supporting its global operations and expanding its engineering capabilities.
The expansion is expected to increase demand for specialised technology talent in Pune. However, the companies have not disclosed specific job creation figures or recruitment timelines.
Nexio COO Justin Brown and Vice President of Engineering Wei Liu recently visited India to strengthen collaboration with the Pune engineering team. Innovecture's CEO–India, Girish Rao, said the centre would integrate the company's engineering expertise with Nexio's product and technology priorities.
The expanded partnership aims to strengthen Pune's role as a global engineering hub while supporting Nexio's growing technology requirements and adoption of AI.
