Taking a step towards making the 10th and 12th examinations of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, the board secretary Devidas Kulal had issued a press statement stating that excluding the exams held during the Covid-19 years in 2021 and 2022, the teacher and staff will be appointed to other schools which was not involved in malpractices.
These teachers and staff will be selected from the exams conducted in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2023, 2024.
It was noticed for years that the teachers and staff who are the centre directors and are responsible for the examination at their school centres have detailed knowledge of school administration, infrastructure among other. Thus, to avoid any malpractice during the examination, State board decided to appoint teachers and staff from other schools.
Kulal also mentioned that the centres if found involved in the malpractices in coming 10th and 12th examination will permanently lose their authorisation.
The district administration will be given a free hand in planning the copy free examination this year. All the eight divisions have been informed about the decision. The State Board has eight divisions across the state including Pune, Mumbai, Solapur, Ahilyanagar, Latur, Kokan, Kolhapur, Sambhajinagar.
