Rapper-singer Aditya Prateek Singh Sisodia, widely known as Badshah, became embroiled in controversy following the release of his new track, Tateeree. As criticism grew, he issued an apology and announced that the song had been removed from all platforms. In March, the National Commission for Women summoned Badshah and the producers of the Haryanvi song Tateeree over allegations of obscenity and vulgar content.
According to the latest update from news agency PTI, Badshah has apologised to the National Commission for Women (NCW) for his song 'Tateeree' and has committed to supporting women’s empowerment, including funding the education of 50 girls from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
He appeared before the commission in relation to a suo motu case initiated over the song. Also attending the hearing were directors Joban Sandhu and Mahavir Singh, along with producer Hiten. The proceedings were presided over by NCW Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar, who stated that the song’s lyrics and presentation had undermined the dignity and decency of women. Rahatkar voiced serious concern about the harm caused to women’s dignity and instructed the parties involved to ensure that such incidents do not occur again in the future.
Everyone involved submitted unconditional written apologies to the commission and expressed remorse for the damage caused to society.

The track fuses modern rap with regional musical elements, and its official music video was directed by Mahi Sandhu and Joban Sandhu. Following public backlash, Badshah posted an apology on Instagram, stating that he never intended to offend anyone. In response to the controversy, the Haryana Police intensified their action against the song Tateeree, removing hundreds of links from various social media platforms.
