The wait is finally over for Ram Charan’s fans. The Telugu star’s much-awaited sports action drama, Peddi, hit theaters worldwide on June 4, 2026, sparking grand celebrations among audiences. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film is already receiving an exceptional response, with early box office reports indicating a potentially record-breaking opening day. Amplifying the first-day excitement, megastar Chiranjeevi took to social media to post a proud and emotional note for the entire Peddi team. Although he is currently in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu, for a film shoot, he shared that he has been closely following the film’s thunderous public reception from a distance, rejoicing in his son’s major cinematic milestone right from his vanity van.

Marking the film’s explosive opening-day response on X, Chiranjeevi revealed that the movie has been on his mind constantly, even while he has been busy on another set. Writing in Telugu, he said, “Hearty congratulations to our #PEDDI, my dear @AlwaysRamCharan, and the entire cast and crew on this phenomenal blockbuster! Even though I am in Pollachi for a shoot, my heart remains with ‘Peddi’. I have personally witnessed the immense hard work and commitment Charan has invested in this film over the last two years. Today, as I see the audience’s love and acclaim, I feel deeply proud, not only as a father but also as a fellow actor.”

The drama showcases Ram Charan in a fierce, physically demanding role that required a major on-screen transformation. Praising his son's unwavering dedication, Chiranjeevi said, “His tireless effort, perseverance, and commitment to fully inhabit the character of Peddi are evident in every frame. This success is the well-earned result of all that hard work.”

Chiranjeevi was just as swift to applaud director Buchi Babu Sana for bringing his vision to life. He also praised producer Venkata Satish Kilaru of Vriddhi Cinemas for going all out to support the large-scale project without making any creative concessions.

As per box office tracking platform Sacnilk, the film is decisively leading at the box office. By 4:30 PM on its opening day, it was playing across 7,148 shows and had already amassed an impressive live domestic net collection of ₹20.69 crore, with its total India gross reaching ₹24.41 crore.
