Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar took to social media to celebrate the 27th anniversary of his iconic movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji in lead roles, with Salman Khan also making an appearance.
Karan shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram, giving fans a nostalgic glimpse into the making of the 1998 romantic drama. However, Salman's fans were disappointed because he did not feature any images of the actor.
The photos display the film's actors and their rare behind-the-scenes experiences that fans rarely get to see. One photo shows Karan talking about a scene with SRK and Rani. Another image features Karan's late father, Yash Johar, with Kajol.
The behind-the-scenes photos also include other actors such as Reema Lagoo, Anupam Kher, Archana Puran Singh, and choreographer Farah Khan. Shortly after he posted, a fan remarked, 'And where is Salman Khan, who was instrumental in helping you make this film, if I'm not mistaken? Ungrateful. ' Another added, 'But Salman Khan is also part of this film, and you still haven't shared his picture.'
Karan shared a post with the caption, '27 years!!! Cherished and spontaneous moments from our #KuchKuchHotaHai set…a place brimming with love, endless chatter, and joy❤️❤️❤️ Grateful to everyone for the ongoing affection towards this film…it means the world to me.' Kajol remarked, 'The best feelings ever.' Celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Zoya Akhtar, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni also responded to the post.
Salman made a significant cameo in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, portraying Kajol's fiance, Aman. Despite his limited screen presence, his character was crucial to the storyline, particularly in the climax.
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, a pivotal film in late-1990s Bollywood, is still cherished for its unforgettable music, legendary dialogues, and the dynamic between Shah Rukh and Kajol. The film also featured Sana Saeed, Parzaan Dastur, Johny Lever, Farida Jalal, Himani Shivpuri, among others.
