Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is currently one of the most active figures in the Hindi film industry. He is finishing up work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War and Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Part 1, and will soon start filming Animal Park and Ramayana: Part 2. Over the past two years, he has also been a hot topic online due to the potential involvement in another thrilling project. This project is Dhoom 4, the eagerly anticipated fourth installment of YRF's popular heist series. Speculation has arisen that Abhishek Bachchan, who portrayed A.C.P Jai Dixit in the first three films, might not return for the next movie, with RK possibly stepping in as the main villain, following in the footsteps of John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan, and Aamir Khan. There is now a significant update regarding the Dhoom franchise.
As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Ranbir Kapoor's involvement in the project is merely an 'idea' at this stage, as the script for Dhoom 4 is still in development. A source mentioned, 'Yash Raj Films currently lacks a script for Dhoom 4. They have been contemplating it for thirteen years since the release of Dhoom 3. Aditya Chopra has dismissed more than nine script drafts. He is not proceeding with his banner's most esteemed franchise until he is completely satisfied with the script... Not before War 2 and Mardaani 3.'
Discussing Ranbir's current priorities, the source mentioned, "At present, he is fully concentrating on Sanjay Bhansali's Love & War and Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. His previous venture with Yash Raj, Shamshera, was a significant failure. He will proceed with extreme care in that area."
Previous reports indicated that Vicky Kaushal could potentially replace Abhishek Bachchan as the cop in Dhoom 4, pursuing Ranbir Kapoor during the heist. Although this will be confirmed once the script is finalized, fans can look forward to seeing Vicky and Ranbir together this year, alongside Alia Bhatt, in Love & War.
