Ladies, we women literally have so many duties to follow throughout the day. Right from waking up in the morning, our to-do list is already waiting for us.
Tea and breakfast for the family, preparing lunch for the husband, preparing our kids for their school or college, cleaning the house, doing the chores, managing the medicines of in-laws, taking care of their health, fruits and vegetables, small household chores – paying the electricity bill, paying the phone bill, maintaining good relations with the relatives, welcoming guests, and in all of this if you are working or handling a business, then that too.
Not just one, but we have multiple responsibilities to handle throughout the day and if we look at it that way, even 24 hours won’t be enough for us. Then important tasks remain incomplete, creating a bigger pile of work that is left pending.
This creates irritation, a feeling in mind that we have not utilized the day properly and often this can lead to fatigue and mental stress. Often this leads to depression in women and can even reduce their self-confidence.
It is not easy to complete all these tasks in 24 hours, but to fulfill these responsibilities productively, it is essential to strategically plan the day properly and most importantly, prioritize the tasks properly.
Now, what does prioritizing work mean? It is a planning which work is urgent, which can be done later, or which can be avoided. Not all the tasks in our daily work are urgent and important. Therefore, with the right thinking, a little planning, and a little patience, we can properly prioritize our tasks.
Ladies, even your busy day can be a stress-free and happy one just by giving importance to your work properly. So, your important tasks will not remain incomplete and you will be able to take some time for yourself in the middle of the tight schedule throughout the day.
For this, there is one very simple solution which is to do and that is organizing, put each of your tasks in one of these four categories:
1. Urgent and important work: do the tasks in this category immediately. These are the tasks that are considered important and to be done urgently, and the tasks that can cause stress if not done. Therefore, these tasks should be done urgently without wasting time.
2. Important, but not urgent: Organize these tasks throughout the day. The tasks in this section are important, but not urgent, and so they can be done at anytime of the day or can be shifted for the next day also. So, complete these tasks after you have finished your important and urgent tasks.
3. Urgent but not important: Tasks that are not important but are urgent, can be allocated to others. It is not necessary to spend too much time on such tasks as they are not important.
4. Neither urgent nor important: Completely avoid doing tasks that are neither urgent nor important. It won’t be wrong to say that the time spent on doing such tasks would go waste.
So, in such a manner if you prioritize your work, your day will be much easier, you won’t be stressed by leaving important tasks unfinished, and you will be able to carve out some time for yourself even in your busy days.
It would not be wrong to say that giving importance to your work is not just about organizing your time but also handling your life in a much-disciplined manner. If every housewife like you and me can achieve this, then every housewife can lead a satisfies, balanced, and stress-free life.
