Pune: As inflation continues to impact consumers, the price of milk is set to increase by ₹2 per liter. A meeting of the Dairy Producers and Processing Welfare Association was held on Wednesday, March 12, at the Pune District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd., Katraj Dairy, where the decision was unanimously approved. The meeting was attended by 47 representatives from various cooperative and private dairy organizations.
The discussion also covered awareness campaigns to prevent adulteration in paneer. Members decided to appeal to the government for the early release of pending subsidies for farmers. Additionally, they resolved to meet with FDA (Food and Drug Administration) officials and the Dairy Development Minister to demand strict action against milk adulteration.
The meeting was attended by key figures, including Association President Gopalrao Mhaske, Honorary Secretary Prakash Kutwal, Sangamner Dairy Union President Ranjitsingh Deshmukh, Shreepad Chitale, and Pune District Dairy Union President Swapnil Dhamdhere.
