Pune: A horrifying incident unfolded in Wadgaon where a couple was attacked with machetes after questioning a group of men about urinating in public. Three youths assaulted the husband and wife, inflicting serious injuries. The attackers allegedly claimed to be followers of ‘AD Bhai.’ The Pune police have registered a case of attempted murder against the accused, and an investigation is underway.

The incident occurred around 8 PM when the couple, returning home from work, stopped to sit and talk on a roadside bench near a local administrative office. Shortly after, a motorcycle arrived with three individuals, one of whom began urinating nearby.

As the husband rushed to defend his wife, another attacker held him back and reportedly said, “This area belongs to our AD Bhai. We will urinate here. Let’s see who stops us.” He then attacked the husband with a machete. Meanwhile, the third youth verbally abused the couple.

Attackers Flee, Police Investigate

As onlookers gathered, the assailants fled the scene. The injured couple filed a complaint at the local police station, and authorities have since registered a case under attempted murder charges. The police are currently tracking down the accused.
