Pune: Renowned industrialist Abhay Firodia, Chairman of Force Motors Ltd., stressed the importance of Indian traditional values and ethics in modern education, expressing concerns over their diminishing presence in contemporary learning systems. Firodia was speaking at the ‘Bhetu Ya Eka Diggajala’ (Meet the Legend) event, organized by Janseva Foundation, where he was felicitated for his contributions to industry and society.
During his speech, Firodia expressed concerns about how modern education fails to impart core life values. "Our education system has completely failed to teach students the values that form the foundation of Indian traditions. Life values are neither integrated into the curriculum nor actively discussed in society," he said.
Criticizing a growing mindset that associates religiosity with ignorance, Firodia remarked, "A new trend has emerged where being religious is equated with being foolish. Certain socialists have introduced this belief, misleading society."
To achieve real success, he advised students to focus on physical fitness, staying updated with modern technology, and embracing Indian ethical values to build a well-rounded future.

Addressing the balance between work and social contributions, Firodia advised, "During one’s most productive years, the focus should be on work and achievements. Later, during retirement, individuals should take up social responsibilities to give back to society."
