Pune: In a remarkable operation, the Faraskhana Police successfully located two minor girls who had gone missing from Titli Foundation, a social organization in Budhwar Peth. The breakthrough came after officers meticulously analyzed footage from over 250 CCTV cameras across multiple locations in Pune.
The missing girls, aged 14 and 8, were reported to have left the foundation premises unexpectedly, leading to suspicions of kidnapping. Following the complaint, a case was registered at Faraskhana Police Station on March 7.
Senior Inspector Prashant Bhasme assigned the investigation to Assistant Inspector Vaibhav Gaikwad and Sub-Inspector Arvind Shinde. In coordination with officials from Khadak, Samarth, and Vishrambaug Police Stations, a seven-team operation was launched.
Extensive CCTV Analysis Leads to Discovery
As part of the investigation, the police scanned surveillance footage from 252 CCTV cameras installed across Pasodya Vitthoba Temple, Budhwar Chowk, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Road, Swargate Bus Stand, Sassoon Hospital, Pune Railway Station, Keshavnagar, Padmavati, and Sahakarnagar.
After an extensive search, the missing girls were finally traced to the Sahakarnagar area, confirming that the case had been successfully resolved. The search operation was executed under the supervision of Additional Police Commissioner Praveenkumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Anuja Deshmane.
