GATE 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on February 7, 8, 14 and 15 across multiple centres in India. The admit card contains key details including the candidate’s name, photograph, exam paper, date, shift timing and the complete address of the examination centre. Candidates have been advised to check all details carefully and report any discrepancies to the authorities immediately.

As per the official instructions, candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid government issued photo identity card to the exam centre. Entry will not be permitted without these documents. Items such as mobile phones, smart watches and electronic gadgets remain strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

The release follows a brief delay that had led to anxiety among aspirants, many of whom were waiting to finalise travel and accommodation plans. On social media, several candidates shared screenshots confirming successful downloads, with many expressing relief as the final phase of preparation begins.

GATE scores are used for admission to postgraduate programmes at IITs, NITs and other premier institutes, and are also considered by several public sector undertakings for recruitment. The results for GATE 2026 are expected to be announced in March, after which the counselling and admission process will begin. For now, candidates are being urged to focus on revision and familiarising themselves with exam day guidelines as the test dates draw closer.
