Gurugram: A segment from stand-up comedian Pranit More’s show is rapidly spreading across social media. The video features More engaging with a male audience member, a style of interaction for which he is well known.

In the exchange, a Gurugram resident named Himanshu Jangra recounted an incident from one of his dates, during which he admitted to requesting "sexual favours" in return for buying dinner. After widespread criticism of his comments, the company that employed him chose to terminate his employment.

Jangra told the comedian that he went on a date with a girl and then they had biryani for around Rs 360-370. After dinner, when the woman asked him to drop her home, he responded by saying that since he had already spent Rs 370 on the meal, he intended to “recover" the amount.

In the viral clip, the man can be heard saying, "I mentioned that it cost Rs 370, so I will definitely recover that amount."

The man was employed at a design firm in Gurgaon, Haryana, called Starvik Design. In response to the viral video, the company’s founder, Vivek Vishwakarma, shared a video with a caption clarifying the firm’s stance on the controversy. The caption stated: "We have terminated Himanshu. Actions have consequences. However, we also hope these moments serve as opportunities for reflection, learning, and constructive change. After thoroughly assessing the situation, we reached a decision and felt it was important to address it transparently. This is our statement.".
