Pune, 16 September 2025: In Pune, Income Tax authorities carried out sudden raids at the offices and residences of major real estate developers, sending shockwaves across the city’s property sector. Kohinoor Group’s office at ICC Tower on Senapati Bapat Road and the residence of its head, Krishnakumar Goel, in Sindh Society were among the primary targets.
Similarly, Mittal Group’s office in the Bund Garden area was also raided as part of the operation. These raids, conducted without prior notice, have sparked widespread discussion and speculation about the reasons behind the crackdown.
Officials have stated that the exact motives for these actions are yet to be confirmed. The authorities have assured that the truth will emerge only after the ongoing investigation is completed, and all facts are thoroughly examined.
The raids are linked to earlier scrutiny by the Enforcement Directorate into the Mittal Brothers Group concerning Mumbai’s Honest Shelters LLP project. MahaRERA had previously issued directives to recover around ₹90 crore from Honest Shelters Private Limited, promoters of the Palace Royal project in Worli, for failing to comply with orders regarding delayed flat possession.
