Pune: A disturbing incident came to light in Pune’s Kothrud area, where a man was found filming individuals inside a restroom. The accused was apprehended and assaulted by onlookers before being handed over to the police.
A case has been registered against him at the Alankar Police Station. The incident occurred on Saturday evening around 7 PM at a lawn in Kothrud, where a dance festival was being held.
Amidst the celebrations, some attendees noticed suspicious behavior from a man inside the restroom. Upon further observation, they discovered that he was secretly recording videos of people using the facilities.
As soon as the incident was exposed, panic spread across the venue. The accused tried to escape but was caught by the venue's staff. Outraged by his actions, some attendees physically confronted him.
Following the commotion, a 48-year-old individual filed a formal complaint at the Alankar Police Station. The accused was identified as 35-year-old Mangesh Nandkumar Jawahire, a resident of Ajinkya Heigths, Katraj. Upon taking him into custody, the police checked his mobile phone and confirmed that he had filmed men urinating inside the restroom.
