Pune: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has called on its members to remain focused and start preparations for the upcoming local self-government elections. Party leaders stressed the importance of utilizing the current favorable political climate in the state.
On Saturday (November 30), a strategic meeting was convened at Dhankawadi, where party office-bearers and workers discussed election preparations.
The gathering included newly elected MLAs Dattatraya Bharane, Chetan Tupe, Shankar Mandekar, and Dnyaneshwar Katke, as well as NCP district president Pradeep Garatkar.
During the meeting, newly elected MLAs were honored for their success in the recent legislative assembly elections. Party leaders directed workers to focus on municipal corporation, zilla parishad, municipality, and panchayat samiti elections.
While the decision to contest independently or as part of a grand alliance will be taken by the senior leadership, workers were advised to remain election-ready.
Leaders emphasized the need to focus on booth-level organization, updating voter lists, and reviewing ward structures to ensure success.
“We must leverage the current favorable atmosphere and start groundwork for the elections without delay,” the leaders advised.
