Pune: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has dismissed Assistant Commissioner Shrinivas Dangat from service after a departmental inquiry revealed he had three children, violating the government's small family policy. The dismissal order was issued by PCMC Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh.

Dangat had joined PCMC as a clerk and was later promoted to Administrative Officer (Group B) in 2013. At the time of promotion, employees were required to submit an affidavit declaring adherence to the government’s small family norm, which limits employees to two children. Despite repeated notices, Dangat failed to provide the required affidavit.
