Pune: The Swargate rape case has taken a dramatic turn with shocking revelations about the accused, Dattatray Gade’s alleged political connections. Gade, who is currently on the run, has been linked to political figures, adding a new dimension to the investigation. His WhatsApp profile photo featuring Shirur NCP MLA Mauli Katke has raised serious questions, further intensified by the discovery of his image on political banners in Shirur.
The 26-year-old victim was waiting for a bus to Phaltan at Swargate ST depot when Gade deceptively engaged her in conversation. Investigations have revealed that Gade has a prior criminal record. Reports indicate that he has close connections with local political figures and law enforcement officials, leading to speculation that his past offenses may have been overlooked due to political influence.
