He shared a screenshot of a Google search for the query “Prafull Billore death,” voicing his anger over the unfounded rumours. The search results showed a snippet from a website that referred to reports of his supposed death, while also stating that there was no official confirmation.

“That’s ridiculous, offensive and hurtful. Please stop spreading fake news. I am alive,” Billore wrote in his Instagram story, putting an end to the speculation.

The speculation seems to have stemmed from a string of deceptive posts on X, where multiple accounts wrongly asserted that the entrepreneur had died. These allegations quickly circulated across social platforms, leading many users to accept them as true and share condolence messages before any reliable outlet had confirmed the news.

Billore’s public clarification was his first direct reply to the viral rumours and swiftly attracted backing from his followers. Many criticised those who spread the false allegations and said they felt relieved after his statement. One user commented, “Be strong bhai this is new world. Extreme hate is normal hate.” Another wrote, “Those who are jealous of you have spread the news.”

A third follower posted, “Bhai, zinda raho… Swasth raho.. mast raho,” while another reacted with, “WTH. Hatemongers to the core.” The episode has once more underscored how rapidly misinformation can circulate online, particularly when unchecked assertions gain traction on social media platforms. It also underscores the need to confirm details through reliable sources before passing them on.

Prafull Billore, originally from Madhya Pradesh, abandoned his MBA studies to become an entrepreneur after realising that a traditional career path did not suit him. Beginning with a tea stall launched with only Rs 8,000, he steadily expanded MBA Chaiwala into a nationally recognised brand through creative marketing strategies, a franchising model, and a strong social media presence.
