
Pune: The city has been experiencing chilly mornings and nights over the past two days, bringing back a feeling of December-like winter for Pune residents. Despite an early onset of summer this February, the recent dip in temperatures has come as a surprise. On Friday (14th), Pune’s Talegaon recorded the highest temperature at 38.8°C, while Haveli recorded 32.2°C. Other areas such as Vadgaon Sheri, Magarpatta, Hadapsar, and Shivajinagar recorded temperatures above 35°C.
The India Meteorological Department has predicted dry weather for the next two days, with a further rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures expected. Over the next four to five days, clear skies will persist, and temperatures may increase by 2 to 3°C.
Maharashtra saw Solapur recording the highest temperature in the state, while Nashik had the lowest temperature. A gradual increase of 1°C in maximum and minimum temperatures has been recorded in the last 24 hours across Pune city and district.
In Maharashtra, Niphad's Wheat Research Center recorded the lowest temperature at 9.5°C, followed by Dhule Agricultural College at 10°C. Most other regions in the state recorded minimum temperatures between 12°C and 20°C.
Several cities in Maharashtra have been experiencing rising temperatures. On Friday (14th), Solapur, Sangli, Jeur, Santacruz, and Ratnagiri recorded 36°C or higher. Many other locations reported temperatures between 30°C and 33°C. The difference between minimum and maximum temperatures across the state ranges from 17°C to 21°C.
