
A fire broke out on the sixth floor of Commerce Zone IT Park in Yerwada, Pune, on Sunday morning.
The blaze was brought under control within 30 minutes by fire brigades from multiple stations.
No casualties were reported, though one firefighter sustained a minor leg injury.
Pune, 8th September 2025: A fire broke out on the sixth floor of Commerce Zone IT Park in Yerwada early Sunday morning around 7.45 am. Thick smoke was seen rising from one of the offices, causing panic among security staff and nearby workers.
The fire brigade was alerted immediately, and fire tenders from Yerwada, Kharadi, Naidu, and Dhanori stations rushed to the site. Using hoses and the building’s in-house extinguishing system, firefighters managed to control the blaze within half an hour, preventing it from spreading to other offices.
Officials confirmed that office furniture, documents, and electrical equipment inside the affected workspace were completely destroyed. However, there was no loss of life or major injury. One firefighter, Sonyadada Naidu from the Naidu Fire Station, suffered a leg injury during the operation.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Authorities have begun an investigation.
