Pune: Passengers commuting through the Daund-Manmad section are set to face significant disruptions due to non-interlocking work between Rahuri and Padhegaon stations from September 21 to September 23.
The work has resulted in the cancellation of several trains departing from Pune, while others will follow alternative routes. The railway authorities have announced the list of affected trains and urged passengers to take note of the changes to avoid inconvenience.
On Saturday, September 21, trains such as the Dadar-Sainagar Shirdi Express, Nizamabad-Daund, Pune-Hazur Sahib Nanded Express, and Hazur Sahib Nanded-Pune Express will be canceled. This is expected to affect regular commuters and devotees heading towards Shirdi and Nanded.
The disruptions will continue on Sunday, September 22, with the cancellation of the Pune-Harangal Express, Harangal-Pune Express, Sainagar Shirdi-Dadar Express, Daund-Nizamabad, and Jabalpur-Pune Special trains. These cancellations are likely to create challenges for passengers traveling on these popular routes.
The schedule remains disrupted on Monday, September 23, with further cancellations, including the Pune-Harangal Express, Harangal-Pune Express, and Pune-Jabalpur Special.
In addition to these cancellations, several trains will be rerouted to maintain service continuity. Notable changes include the Jammu Tawi-Pune Jhelum Express, which will run via Manmad-Igatpuri-Kalyan-Panvel-Lonavala, and the Vasco da Gama-Hazrat Nizamuddin Goa Express, which will follow an altered path via Pune-Lonavala-Karjat-Panvel-Kalyan-Igatpuri-Manmad.
Passengers are advised to check the revised train schedules and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid last-minute disruptions. The railway administration has assured that all efforts are being made to minimize the impact on travelers during the maintenance work.
