Pune: After experiencing record-high temperatures of 41°C, Pune residents can expect some relief in the coming days, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a temperature drop with thunderstorms and light to moderate rainfall.
Weather Forecast for the Coming Days
On Saturday (March 29), temperatures slightly dropped to 38°C, and on Sunday (March 30), the maximum temperature will remain at 38°C with a minimum of 20°C.
By Tuesday (April 1), Pune will experience a further drop, with maximum temperatures falling to 36°C and minimum temperatures at 21°C. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with thunderstorms, strong winds, and possible rainfall in some areas.
Scattered Showers Expected Across Maharashtra
The IMD has predicted scattered rainfall in Konkan, Goa, Central Maharashtra, and Marathwada over the next three days. However, Vidarbha will remain dry.
The statewide weather will remain stable for the next two days, after which maximum temperatures may decrease by 2-3°C.
On Tuesday (April 1), thunderstorms and strong winds may hit Vashi, Pune district, and its ghat regions. On Wednesday (April 2), Amravati and Yavatmal may experience hailstorms along with thunderstorms and gusty winds.
