Pune: While many former corporators struggle to secure funds for essential development works in their wards, a nominated member has successfully obtained PMC approval for five projects worth ₹2.44 crore in Ward No. 16. This has raised concerns over selective fund allocation, as other areas remain deprived of much-needed infrastructure improvements.

Over the past few months, former corporators have been lobbying for funds for urgent civic issues such as sewage pipelines, water supply, pothole repairs, and public health services. However, PMC officials have repeatedly stated that there is no budget available. Many corporators have been asked to get funds sanctioned before work can proceed.
