
Pune: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) will begin work on a grade separator and flyover project at Shastrinagar Chowk in Yerawada. As part of the preparatory work, soil investigations requiring borehole drilling at six locations along the Shastrinagar Chowk to Golf Club Chowk route will be carried out from December 12 to December 16, 2024.
To facilitate the work and ensure public safety, temporary traffic diversions will be implemented during this period. The diversions will apply during nighttime hours, from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Key Diversions and Restrictions:
Heavy and Large Vehicles:
Prohibited from using the route between Shastrinagar Chowk and Golf Club Chowk.
Redirected via Shastrinagar Chowk to Gunjan Chowk to Parnakuti Chowk to Tarakeshwar Chowk, turning left to Sadalbaba Chowk to reach the desired destination.
Four-Wheelers:
Redirected as required via Shastrinagar Chowk to Gunjan Chowk, turning right towards Golf Club Chowk.
No Parking Zone:
A 200-meter stretch on the Loop road on the left side from Shastrinagar Chowk to Golf Club Chowk will be designated as a No Parking and No Halting Zone during the operation period.
Citizens are requested to adhere to the revised traffic rules and cooperate with authorities to ensure smooth operations.
The directives have been issued by Amol Zende, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Pune City, with a focus on minimizing disruptions while enabling timely project execution.
