
Pune: To ensure smooth traffic management during the Punyatithi of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the Pune district administration has announced traffic restrictions in Vadhu Budruk, Shirur Taluka. These changes will be enforced from 10:00 PM on March 28 to 10:00 AM on March 29.
As per the orders issued by District Collector Jitendra Dudi on Thursday (March 27), there will be a temporary diversion for heavy vehicles and goods transport vehicles such as trucks and tempos. However, vehicles carrying Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's followers will be exempted from these diversions.
Heavy Vehicle Diversions
For vehicles coming from Koregaon Bhima towards Chakan or Pabal via Vadhu Budruk:
These vehicles will be diverted through Koregaon Bhima-Sanaswadi-Shikrapur Gas Phata-Vajewadi Chauphula before heading towards Chakan or Pabal.
For vehicles coming from Chakan or Pabal towards Pune via Vadhu Budruk and Koregaon Bhima:
They will be rerouted via Vajewadi Chauphula-Gas Phata-Shikrapur-Sanaswadi-Koregaon Bhima before entering Pune city.
Restrictions for Devotee Vehicles
Devotee vehicles (Shambhu Bhakts) coming from Koregaon Bhima will not be permitted to proceed beyond the designated stoppage point near Maher Sanstha on the Koregaon Bhima-Vadhu route.
These measures have been put in place to manage the anticipated surge in traffic and ensure the safety and convenience of devotees visiting Vadhu Budruk for the Punyatithi observance.
