
Pune: An altercation over motorcycle parking in front of a hotel led to a violent assault in Wagholi. A complaint regarding the incident has been filed at Wagholi Police Station, following which a case has been registered against three individuals.
According to police reports, the complainant and his brother run an eatery near Raisoni College. The dispute arose when two to three customers parked their motorcycles in front of the hotel. Agitated by this, Dinesh Shankar Gadhve, who is known to the complainant, stopped his Swift car near the eatery and started shouting aggressively.
He then verbally abused the complainant and his brother before physically assaulting them with kicks and punches. The situation escalated when Yogesh Shankar Gadhve attacked them with a wooden stick, and Shankar Gadhve allegedly issued threats. As a result, the police have registered an assault case against the three accused. Further investigation is ongoing.
Wagholi police have adopted a firm stance against individuals trying to intimidate others, particularly in areas where students from other districts come for education and work.
Authorities have emphasized that no one should create an atmosphere of fear. Senior Police Inspector Pandit Rejitwad’s leadership has reportedly helped increase students’ trust and confidence in law enforcement.
