
Pune: In a shocking incident, unknown miscreants vandalized 13 vehicles across multiple localities in Wagholi during the early hours of Friday (March 7). The attackers smashed the windows of parked cars using stones, causing an estimated loss of ₹1,61,000 to vehicle owners.
The Wagholi Police Station has registered a case against unidentified individuals based on a complaint filed by Laxman Prabhakar Owale (36), a resident of Dube Nagar, Wagholi.
According to police reports, the incidents took place in Dube Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Avhalwadi, RaisonI College area, and ST Colony, where multiple cars were damaged overnight.
Upon receiving reports of the vandalism, senior police officials, including Assistant Commissioner of Police Pranjali Sonawane, Senior Police Inspector Pandit Rejitwad, Assistant Police Inspector Vinayak Ahire, Police Sub-Inspector Vaijinath Kedar, and Manoj Bagal, visited the affected areas for investigation.
Authorities have intensified their efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack. The Wagholi Police are currently analyzing CCTV footage and gathering evidence to track down the miscreants.
