As reported by the Associated Press, on December 24, Christmas Eve, Trump and Melania interacted with children via the North American Aerospace Defense Command's Santa Tracker calls.
During his conversation with the children, Trump mentioned they wanted to “make sure that Santa is being good,” emphasizing that Santa is a very good person. Speaking to kids aged 4 to 10, he said, “We want to make sure that he’s not infiltrating, that we’re not infiltrating into our country a bad Santa,” according to reports.
In a cheerful mood, Trump made a joke about Santa, mentioning that he could continue this all day but preferred to return to more pressing matters, such as addressing Russia's conflict with Ukraine.
The President of the United States, accompanied by the First Lady, engaged in approximately twelve phone calls. During a moment when Melania was on a call and Trump was awaiting connection, he remarked on her lack of attention towards him. In a conversation with an 8-year-old who expressed a desire not to receive coal for Christmas, Trump defended coal production.
