Pune, 15 October 2025: In a significant pre-Diwali crime crackdown, Pune police have deports 18 well-known offenders from Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, and the surrounding rural areas for two years. The directive was given by Dr. Rajkumar Shinde, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 5.

Zone 5 encompasses police stations in areas such as Hadapsar, Kalepadal, Wanwadi, Bibwewadi, Loni Kalbhor, Mundhwa, and Fursungi. In recent months, law enforcement has apprehended 78 offenders under the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA) and detained 22 individuals under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) act. Furthermore, 50 criminals have been expelled from this region.

The deported criminals have been involved in serious offenses such as illegal liquor sales, fraud, obstruction of government work, assault, robbery, and theft. Among those deported on Tuesday are Kanifnath Shankar Ghule (49) and Pramila Sarvin Kalakar (41) from Kalepadal; Rafik alias Topi Mahmood Sheikh (55) and Gabbu alias Sunny Prakash Pardeshi (33) from Wanwadi; Maulana Rasool Sheikh (22) and Ganesh Tukaram Ghavre (28) from Kondhwa.

Avinash Arjun Jogan (27) and Sarang Baban Gaikwad (30) from Bibwewadi; Umesh Nivrutti Rakhpasre (50), Vinayak Adhikarav Lawand (31), and Shubham Sudam Virkar (25) from Loni Kalbhor; Rohan Somnath Chinchkar (27) and Bapu Suresh Makwana (21) from Hadapsar; Aniket Rajesh Shelar (22), Dattaji Ganesh Gaikwad (36), and Deepak Ganesh Gaikwad (38) from Mundhwa; and Amol Rajendra Tat (45) from Fursungi.
