Pune, 30 June 2025: Ambegaon Police Station under the Pune City Police Commissionerate has been awarded the prestigious ISO 9001:2015 certification. This international recognition marks a significant step towards improving the quality, discipline, and efficiency of police services. Notably, it is the first police station under the Commissionerate to receive this certification.
The certificate was officially presented on Monday by Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar. The event was attended by several senior officers, including Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjankumar Sharma, Additional Commissioners Rajesh Bansode, Pankaj Deshmukh, and Sanjay Baviskar, Assistant Commissioner Rahul Aware, Senior Police Inspector Sharad Jhine, and Crime Inspector Gajanan Chormale.
This achievement was made possible due to the consistent, rule-based work culture developed by Senior Inspector Sharad Jhine and his team. The police station has upgraded all its documentation systems, including registers and files, bringing better organization, transparency, and speed to its functioning.
As a result, police work has become more streamlined and effective. Citizens visiting the station are now receiving quicker responses and improved services. Internally, the improved systems have also helped reduce the workload pressure on staff and boosted their morale.
“Every complaint is taken seriously and acted upon. The station is equipped with facilities such as drinking water, first aid, vehicle parking, a dedicated women’s help desk, a child-friendly space, and clean restrooms for visitors,” said Senior Inspector Sharad Jhine.
