Register FIR Against Parth Pawar and Officials in Mundhwa Land Deal: Anjali Damania
Pune, 24 December 2025: Activist Anjali Damania has demanded that a criminal case be registered against Parth Pawar, son of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, along with District Joint Registrar of Stamps Santosh Hingane and other concerned officials, in connection with the alleged Mundhwa land scam.
Damania, along with activist Vijay Kumbhar, warned that they would approach the court if police fail to take immediate action.
On Tuesday, Damania met Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar and submitted documents she claims are evidence in the case. Earlier, she had also filed a complaint at the Bavdhan Police Station seeking registration of an FIR.
Speaking to the media, Damania said Parth Pawar, a partner in Amedia Enterprises LLP, had been attempting to purchase the land since 2021. She alleged that Parth Pawar’s handwriting appears on every page of the power of attorney documents, all of which were notarised.
While police have already registered cases against Sheetal Tejwani, Digvijay Patil (a relative of Parth Pawar), and Sub-Registrar Ravindra Taru, Damania said the probe must also include Parth Pawar, Santosh Hingane, and two private secretaries and a special duty officer linked to the Deputy Chief Minister.
Damania further alleged collusion in a stamp duty evasion case worth ₹21 crore. She claimed that although Hingane had filed the original complaint at Bavdhan Police Station, there were mobile call records between him and advocate Trupta Thakur, who represents Parth Pawar. According to her, both were called to Parth Pawar’s residence, and senior aides of Ajit Pawar assisted the advocate in the matter.
Accusing the authorities of not taking the ₹1,800-crore Mundhwa land scam seriously, Damania said the principle of equality before law was not being upheld. She added that politically influential individuals must be held to the same legal standards as ordinary citizens.
Vijay Kumbhar pointed out that multiple agencies are currently conducting separate investigations into the same case, one into stamp duty evasion and another into revenue-related issues. He demanded that the entire matter be investigated as a single, consolidated case and said a representation would also be submitted to the Chief Minister.
Responding to the allegations, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said Pune Police are conducting a thorough investigation from all angles and assured that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty.
