Pune, 5th March 2026: The investigation into the Baramati plane crash has intensified, with the State Crime Investigation Department (CID) summoning VSR Company owner V.K. Singh for questioning on Thursday. Singh is currently being interrogated at the CID office as part of the ongoing probe.

The state government had handed over the investigation to the CID following the fatal crash in Baramati that claimed the lives of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and four others. Officials said the probe is progressing in the right direction and several important leads have already been identified.

Investigators have also collected key evidence related to the crash. Meanwhile, the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has recently submitted its preliminary report to the CID, which is expected to help accelerate the investigation.

According to senior CID officials, Singh was called in as part of the ongoing inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the crash. “V.K. Singh has been summoned to the CID office for questioning. His interrogation is currently underway,” a senior CID officer said.
