
Pune 11th June 2025: The ‘Commercial Vehicle Forum 2025’, one of India’s premier conferences focused on the commercial vehicle and road transport sector, concluded successfully in Pune. Maharashtra Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik attended the event as the chief guest and addressed key stakeholders from across the country.
In his speech, Minister Sarnaik spotlighted the newly announced Maharashtra State Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy, stating its core objective is to accelerate EV production and adoption. He reiterated Maharashtra’s leadership in the automobile manufacturing industry and the government’s commitment to supporting cleaner, more efficient mobility solutions.
The event served as a crucial platform for dialogue among top commercial vehicle manufacturers, auto suppliers, dealers, fleet operators, and transport experts. Discussions covered a wide spectrum of topics — from the growing off-highway vehicle segment and sustainable mobility to practical strategies for integrating EVs into commercial fleets.
One of the highlights of the forum was ‘The Commercial Vehicle and Fleet Awards’, which recognized individuals and organizations making exceptional contributions to the transport and mobility ecosystem.
Minister Sarnaik emphasized the importance of such collaborative industry platforms and reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to strengthening the commercial vehicle sector through policy innovation and continuous engagement.
