Pune, 30 December 2025: Flight operations at Pune International Airport faced minor disruptions on Monday due to dense fog prevailing over several parts of North India. Poor visibility at destination airports affected air traffic movement, particularly on routes linked to northern cities.
Airport authorities said a small number of flights experienced delays and rescheduling as a result of the weather conditions. Passengers on these routes had to wait longer than planned, while airlines made operational adjustments to ensure safety and smooth coordination.
Pune Airport Director Santosh Dhoke said that around three to four flights were delayed due to fog at their destination airports. These included services to Delhi, Varanasi and Bengaluru. He added that the situation was handled efficiently by airlines in coordination with air traffic control, and no flights were cancelled.
Dense fog is a recurring winter challenge in North India and often causes ripple effects across the country’s aviation network. Pune airport officials said they remain in constant touch with airlines to manage passenger flow during such weather-related disruptions.
Passengers have been advised to check real-time flight updates, allow extra travel time, and stay in contact with airlines to avoid inconvenience.
