Pune, 21 June 2025: The much-awaited Khadki Metro Station will open for passenger services on Saturday, June 21, 2025. This station is part of Pune Metro’s Phase 1 Corridor, which runs between Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and Swargate, a crucial route connecting Pune’s twin cities.
Located strategically near Khadki Railway Station, the new metro stop offers direct access to railway platforms from within the metro premises. This seamless rail-metro integration is expected to ease daily commuting for local residents as well as long-distance travelers.
The opening of Khadki Metro Station will significantly improve connectivity to key areas such as Khadki, Pune University, Aundh IT Park, Khadki Cantonment, Khadki Bazaar, Range Hill, Aundh Road, Ordnance Factory Hospital, and Mula Road. Commuters can look forward to a more convenient and faster public transport experience.
Shravan Hardikar, Managing Director of MahaMetro, said, “The addition of Khadki station strengthens public transport connectivity along the PCMC-Swargate corridor. It will greatly benefit residents and professionals traveling to and from areas like Khadki, Aundh, and the University zone.”
With this new development, Pune Metro continues to expand its reach and aims to provide an efficient alternative to road transport, ultimately reducing traffic congestion and travel time for thousands of daily passengers.
