Pune, 1st April 2026: Toll charges at the Khed Shivapur toll plaza on the Pune–Satara highway have been increased by approximately 3%, effective April 1. The revision follows the annual rate update carried out by the National Highways Authority.
Along with the hike, the toll plaza will also stop accepting cash payments from April 1. Commuters will be required to use FASTag or other digital payment methods to pay toll charges, marking a complete shift to a cashless system.
According to toll road manager Amit Bhatia, the rate hike is in line with the yearly revision. He also advised local residents to opt for concessional monthly passes for non-commercial vehicles to reduce travel costs.
Under the revised rates, toll for cars and jeeps remains unchanged at ₹125, while light vehicles will now pay ₹205 instead of ₹200. Two-axle buses and trucks will be charged ₹425, up from ₹415, and heavy vehicles will now pay ₹810 compared to the earlier ₹790.
The move is expected to streamline traffic flow at the toll plaza while promoting digital transactions among commuters.
