Pune, 29 December 2025: With final two days left to file nomination papers for the Pune Municipal Corporation elections, candidate activity has intensified across the city. All ward offices are expected to see heavy crowds as aspirants rush to complete the formalities before the deadline.
So far, only 48 nomination papers have been submitted. However, civic officials expect a sharp rise in applications over the next two days. To manage this rush, the administration has said that all necessary arrangements are in place.
The Pune Municipal Corporation has introduced an online system to help candidates obtain mandatory No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from 41 different departments. Candidates can apply through the portal https://nocelection.pmc.gov.in, where the request is shared with all departments simultaneously, enabling faster processing.
According to the civic administration, candidates who apply for NOCs on Monday (December 29) are likely to receive them. However, those applying on Tuesday (December 30) may not get approvals in time. The PMC has clearly stated that it cannot guarantee NOCs for last-day applicants.
Nomination papers can be submitted until 2 pm on December 30. However, applications for NOCs must be filed by 12 noon the same day. If a candidate fails to receive the required certificates within the remaining two hours, the responsibility will lie with the candidate, officials said.
The civic body has urged all aspiring candidates to complete the process well in advance to avoid last-minute complications.
