Pune, 28th May 2026: In a late night raid carried out by Crime Branch at the upscale Koregaon Park, busted a high-profile sex racket allegedly operating from a private stay facility. During the operation, police rescued four foreign women who were reportedly being forced into prostitution.
According to police officials, the Anti-Human Trafficking and Prevention Cell received specific information that foreign women were being exploited for prostitution at ‘Abhibha Stay’ located on North Main Road in Koregaon Park. To verify the information, police first sent a decoy customer to the location.
After confirming the illegal activity, the Crime Branch team conducted a surprise raid at the premises. During the search, police rescued four foreign women who were allegedly confined inside the rooms and being used for prostitution.
Following the operation, a case was registered at Koregaon Park Police Station against the accused involved in the racket. Police said the alleged mastermind behind the operation is absconding, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest him.
The investigation into the racket and possible links to a larger trafficking network is currently underway.
