A Pimpri-Chinchwad municipal school teacher was arrested for repeatedly sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl in Class 7 over several months.
The abuse, which occurred between July 11 and 19, 2025, was reported after the victim confided in her family about threats and coercion.
The teacher has been booked under POCSO, SC/ST Atrocities Act, and molestation charges; the Nigdi Police are investigating further.

The incidents reportedly occurred between July 11 and July 19, 2025, with the victim enduring months of abuse before finally confiding in her family.
Police have arrested the teacher under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and sections related to molestation and indecent assault.
According to Police, the accused teacher joined the school in July 2024 and soon began targeting the girl, subjecting her to physical and psychological torment. The victim, fearing repercussions, initially remained silent but eventually disclosed the abuse to her parents. The family's complaint at Nigdi Police Station led to immediate action, with authorities emphasizing the severity of exploiting a position of trust.
A senior police official stated, "The accused manipulated his authority to commit these crimes and even threatened the victim into silence. We are conducting a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served." The case has been registered under relevant sections of POCSO and the Indian Penal Code pertaining to sexual offenses against minors.
