

Pune, 21 February 2026: The Pune Dental Conference 2026 brought together dentists, researchers and students from across Maharashtra, promoting modern technology, innovative treatment methods and women empowerment. The event aimed to enhance the quality and accessibility of advanced dental care for citizens.
Organised by the Indian Dental Association (IDA), the conference featured 35 scientific lectures conducted across two auditoriums. Research competitions received an overwhelming response, with 133 scientific papers, 184 posters and 23 live clinical presentations.
Under the guidance of IDA President Dr. Manoj Srivastava, Honorary Secretary Dr. Ashok Dhoble and Head Office President Dr. Nitin Barve, the event was successfully executed. Speaking at the conference, Dr. Srivastava said, “The Indian Dental Association is not just a professional body but a strong platform for personality development and leadership growth.”
The conference was coordinated with the efforts of Dr. Ajit Kadam and Dr. Archana Joshi. Maharashtra IDA President Dr. Firoz Sharif and Honorary Secretary Dr. Vikas Patil appreciated the scale and impact of the event.
Experts including Dr. Rajesh Kshirsagar, Dr. Bhagyashree Jabade, Dr. Priya Lele and Dr. Vyankatesh Kulkarni presented sessions on emerging and innovative dental topics. Students actively participated in quizzes, singing, dance and costume competitions, adding vibrancy to the academic gathering.
A special Women’s Dental Council session featured Dr. Sabita Ram, President of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and RJ Shruti as chief guests. They encouraged women professionals to focus on self-empowerment while prioritising their personal health.
The conference concluded on a high note, reinforcing its commitment to advancing dental science, nurturing young talent and promoting inclusive growth within the profession.
