

Pune, 4th November 2025: A group of six men allegedly under the influence of alcohol caused a commotion near the Shivajinagar Court Metro Station on Sunday night and assaulting police officers who tried to control the situation. The incident led to a case being registered against them for obstructing government work and public inconvenience.
According to police officials, the accused, identified as Nana Bapu Naikanavare (24), Sunny Mukesh Naikanavare (22), Dakshesh Vitthal Kurpe (24), Ganesh Sanjay Tupsaundar (22), Vicky Karande (24), and Sarthak Kadam, are residents of different areas across Pune, including Viman Nagar, Warje, Kasba Peth, and Karvenagar.
Police constable Akshay Dindore from the Shivajinagar Police Station filed a complaint regarding the incident. The six men were reportedly standing near the Kamgar Putla area, close to the Metro Station, shouting and creating a disturbance.
When constable Dindore and his colleague arrived at the spot and asked the group to calm down, the men allegedly pushed the officers and abused them. The police then detained all six individuals on the spot.
A case has been registered under charges of assault, obstructing government duty, and creating a public nuisance under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The Shivajinagar Police are further investigating the matter.
